The Stairway Special Outdoor Gate (Model SS-30OD) is our maximum safety gate, designed for outdoor use. Constructed entirely of weatherproof and rustproof aluminum and stainless steel, it is the best gate on the market for outdoor use. Features include a latch system that baffles toddlers yet allows one-hand operation for adults, and an optional stop bracket to prevent opening over a stairway for greater safety.

The Outdoor Safety Gate (Model SS-30OD) is ideal for top-of-stairway use or anywhere you need to contain your pet. It's great for patios, decks, and other outside areas, with the ability to mount at angles up to 30 degrees. The gate is wall-mounted using two screws on the hinge side and latch side, and can be temporarily removed without having to unscrew the wall-mounted hardware.

The Outdoor Safety Gate features a powder-coated finish for a long-lasting, easy-to-clean surface, and is available in Brown, Black, or White. The gate width is adjustable from 27" to 42 1/2", with a height of 29 1/2" and bar spacing of 2 1/2". For wider openings, 10 1/2" and 21 3/4" extensions are available (models BX1 and BX2, respectively).
