The gate is suitable for openings ranging from 36 to 60 inches wide, and a variety of included extensions allow you to configure the ideal setup for your space.

Installation is quick and easy, thanks to the included no-drill pressure mount system with adhesive wall cups that help protect your walls from damage. Alternatively, you can use the included hardware to install the gate at the top or bottom of stairs, ensuring a safe transition. Recommended tools for hardware installation (not included) are a drill, Phillips-head screwdriver, pencil, and measuring tape.

It's important to note that the gate may appear bent at first, but this is not a defect and will be corrected upon proper installation. The gate is designed for extra-wide openings and features a 27" door that can swing both ways. The door stays open when engaged greater than 90 degrees, and it auto-closes when opened less than 90 degrees, with a stopper preventing the door from swinging over stairs when installed at the top.

The door locks securely to keep babies, toddlers, and pets contained, with narrowly spaced bars that prevent them from squeezing through. Adults can easily open the door with one hand by engaging the latch and pulling up on the door.

The Summer West End Safety Dog and Baby Gate is not suitable for openings measuring 39-40", 46-46.75", or 56-56.75". It has been third-party safety tested and approved, ensuring your loved ones' safety and security.
